Service Overview :Divorced and widowed Bahraini women without children, as well as divorced and widowed women, abandoned women by court ruling with non-Bahraini minor children, and single orphaned women, are granted temporary housing services only at the discretion of the Housing Committee.

Terms of Service

  • The applicant is a female
  • The applicant is Bahraini
  • She should not form a family from any of the four housing request categories, whether as the head of a basic family or as a member of any of the basic families.
  • She must be divorced, widowed, or abandoned by a court ruling, and does not have one or more children, or a single woman who is an orphan of both parents.
  • The age of the female applicant at the time when the application is being evaluated must not be less than (21) years old and not more than 60 years old. An applicant over the age of (60) years old may apply, provided her health is sufficient enough to live on her own.
  • The income of the female applicant at the time of submission and at the time of allocation of the request must not exceed eight hundred Bahraini dinars.
  • Note: Acceptance of the application is based on the recommendation of the Housing Committee

  • Affidavit from the Ministry of Social Development in the event of receiving social assistance
  • A recent, stamped original salary statement or retirement Pension Certificate (if any)
  • Medical Reports (if any)
  • Lease Contract
  • Any other documents or data that the directorate deems necessary to submit

Single :

  • Copy of the parent(s) Death Certificate
  • Copy of the Religious Ordinance Document "Fareedha" of the parents
  • Parent(s) Pension Certificate

Widow :

  • Copy of the husband's Death Certificate the Religious Ordinance Document "Fareedha"

Divorcee :

  • Evidence of non-custodial children

Abandoned :

  • A court statement declaring abandonment
