MOHUP Signs 8 Memoranda of Understanding with Social and Academic Institutions on the Sidelines of the Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MOHUP) signed eight memoranda of understanding with social, academic and training institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the sidelines of the second edition of the Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition.

The memoranda were signed on behalf of MOHUP by Ms Fatima Ibrahim Al Mannai, Undersecretary of the Ministry, with AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), Gulf University, Ahlia University, Applied Science University, Royal University for Women, American University of Bahrain, and British University of Bahrain.

Al Mannai affirmed that the signing reflects MOHUP’s commitment to expanding its partnerships with academic, educational and training institutions, and benefiting from their expertise and capabilities in developing human capital, enhancing skills and promoting professional learning opportunities.

She explained that the memoranda establish frameworks for cooperation in training and the exchange of knowledge and expertise, enabling the development of programmes and initiatives that respond to the Ministry’s operational needs. She also highlighted the importance of integrating institutional experience with academic knowledge to enhance performance efficiency and keep pace with developments in the housing and urban planning sector.

The signing of the memoranda forms part of MOHUP’s continued efforts to explore cooperation opportunities that contribute to the development of the housing and urban planning sector by engaging educational and training institutions in capacity building and supporting professional development pathways related to the sector.
