The Ministry of Housing confirmed that its plan to vacate the old "temporary" apartments in order to establish the residential buildings strip project is accelerating during the current period, noting that the ministry has provided alternatives to the current residents of the apartments, including granting a monthly housing allowance estimated at 200 Bahraini dinars to provide alternative housing. , in order to speed up the pace of evacuation and demolition.

The ministry said that the idea of ​​the project to establish a strip of residential buildings is based on building 6750 ownership apartments in housing complexes with complete facilities and services, and using the new generation of residential buildings designs, in the sites of temporary apartment buildings in various governorates of the Kingdom, stressing that this project will ensure that thousands of housing requests for citizens are met. beneficiaries.

The ministry added that this project will be characterized by a modern architectural character, in addition to the distinctiveness of its locations in the various governorates of the Kingdom, and that those sites guarantee infrastructure services, which will contribute to accelerating the pace of implementation of these buildings.

The Ministry of Housing confirmed that it had achieved remarkable progress within its plan to vacate the old residential apartments as a result of some beneficiaries obtaining their basic housing service on the one hand, and on the other hand providing alternative options, including a monthly housing allowance of up to 200 Bahraini dinars, noting that it had already begun to demolish the part. The largest of the buildings in preparation for the start of construction work.

The ministry indicated that the number of buildings in the specific locations of the buildings strip in various governorates is 250 buildings containing 1884 apartments, all of which are currently designated for temporary housing service.

The ministry stated that, in order to provide adequate housing for citizens, and given the age of these buildings, the ministry has developed a plan targeting old buildings that have been built for more than 45 years, and thus have become unfit for habitation, in addition to the high cost of their maintenance, which has become useless.

It is scheduled that these sites will be re-exploited and built in accordance with internationally approved modern requirements and standards, which achieve the concept of sustainability as well as the application of green energy requirements and a modern environment that suits the needs of the beneficiaries in terms of space and number of rooms and to achieve the highest levels of quality required.

The residential buildings will also include open and green spaces, places for outdoor hobbies, children's gardens, and other services within the common spaces.

It is also hoped that the apartments’ spaces will conform to the measurements offered by the private sector, as the ground floor will include shops, services, parking and green areas, while the mezzanine floor will provide parking spaces and the first floor will include play areas for practicing different hobbies.

As for the apartments that will be developed in Isa Town in particular after the demolition of 103 apartments, they will be within the strip of buildings facing the Bahrain Metro project, with a built-up area of ​​253,973.00 square meters, and include the construction of 720 apartments on a land area of ​​64,682.80 square metres. The level of the Kingdom of Bahrain is facades of a distinct architectural nature that reflects an aesthetic and civilized facade, and at the same time achieves the optimum use of the land area and raises the population density in a well-studied manner, with no more than 100 apartments per hectare, noting that these efforts are consistent with the growing demand for the service of ownership apartments witnessed by Ministry recently.
