Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, affirmed that the remarkable turnout by citizens for financing services at the Housing Finance Exhibition, which is held at the City Center Bahrain and will continue until next Saturday evening, reflects its usefulness in providing immediate services to citizens, stressing that the Ministry directs its efforts, plans and programs. To achieve the goal of obtaining adequate housing for citizens without waiting periods.

Minister Amna Al-Rumaihi, upon inspecting the workflow at the housing finance exhibition, said that the ministry monitored a great interaction by citizens with the financing services made available by the exhibition, especially the financing of the “Facilitation” program of its three types: “real estate facilitation, cooperation facilitation, and home facilitation,” which constituted the largest percentage. From the turnout of citizens to benefit from it since the opening of the exhibition last Thursday, which confirms that the features offered by this program have received a positive response from citizens.

The minister added that it is a result of the flexibility of “Facilitation” financing in terms of the diversity of financing purposes between buying a unit, apartment, or residential plot, building a property, or sharing between a group of individuals to buy or build a property, or buying and building in a relative’s house, noting that All of these items were well received in the exhibition, and many units, apartments, and plots of residential plots provided by real estate companies were booked at prices that match the value of the financing.

In a related context, the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning confirmed that offering more than 10,000 properties in the exhibition at prices suitable for housing financing reflects the abundance of supply in the real estate market, stressing that the Ministry is constantly keen to hold periodic meetings with representatives of the real estate sector in the Kingdom as partners in the system for providing immediate services. For citizens, noting that there is a response by real estate companies, and a common desire to expand the provision of real estate suitable for financing during the next stage.

On the other hand, Minister Amna Al-Rumaihi confirmed that the "Suhail" housing project was popular with citizens visiting the finance exhibition, and that a large percentage of the project units were booked during the past days of the exhibition, noting that a large number of citizens who visited the project's model unit, They went to the finance exhibition to reserve their units, stressing that this demand motivates the ministry to expand the government land development rights program during the next stage.
The minister confirmed that the idea of the housing finance exhibition will witness expansion during the next stage through an action plan that the ministry is working on, with the aim of building on the gains achieved, continuing direct and effective communication with citizens, and facilitating their access to immediate and appropriate housing options.
