“Housing” begins offering solutions and alternative options to those applying for 2004 and before

In implementation of the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to allocate an additional budget to finance solutions and alternative options regarding those with old housing applications for the year 2004 and before, which were made within the framework of continuous cooperation and coordination with the legislative authority and the efforts shown by members of the legislative authority. Eager to provide integrated housing solutions and services to citizens, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning began communicating with citizens with housing applications dating back to 2002, and candidates to benefit from alternative solutions and options, within the framework of the timetable prepared for that.

Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, stated that the Ministry has prepared an action plan to receive citizens according to a timetable that accommodates all citizens whose seniority years of applications fall between 2002 and 2004, indicating that the mechanism of communication with citizens will be through direct communication with those with applications and determining Appointments to review the Ministry, to present alternative solutions and services, and to provide housing consultations according to the needs of each family.

The Minister added that the Ministry began today to receive the first batches of citizens, whose applications date back to 2002, to provide them with all information and details related to alternative solutions and options, by a work team that has been qualified and trained to provide the best services and consultations to citizens.

The Minister stressed that the Ministry seeks, through this plan, to familiarize citizens with alternative solutions and options and their feasibility in quickly meeting citizens’ requests, with the aim of quickly providing services to them in an immediate manner, reiterating that this plan coincides with the positive results of the housing financing program over the course of a year since its inauguration. Through “Facilitation” and “Mazaya” funds, the program was able to meet thousands of citizens’ housing requests immediately, while monitoring a large demand from citizens to transfer their requests from other traditional services to financing options, and forming the largest segment of the beneficiaries, in light of the benefits it enjoys. These programs have advantages, the most important of which is the diversity of financing purposes, raising the minimum and maximum value of financing, as well as immediate access to the service without waiting.

It is worth noting that the housing plan to provide solutions and alternative options for those with old housing applications for the year 2004 and before, includes 3 alternative solutions for obtaining housing, where the first option includes allocating a housing voucher supported by funding from the “Tas’heel” program worth 40 thousand dinars, with the continued disbursement of the housing allowance to the beneficiaries. For two years from the due date.

The second option is to provide a residential apartment for beneficiaries with a financial grant of 3,000 dinars, and a two-year exemption from maintenance fees for common areas at the Beneficiaries Union.

The third option is to grant the beneficiaries the maximum financing of the “Tas’heel” program, estimated at 70 thousand dinars, supported by a grant of 10 thousand dinars.

Housing voucher options supported by financing worth 40,000 dinars will be provided, in addition to providing a residential apartment for beneficiaries with a financial grant of 3,000 dinars, for citizens whose average monthly income is less than 900 dinars, while the option will be to grant beneficiaries the maximum financing of the “Tas’heel” program and the estimated amount. With 70 thousand dinars, supported by a grant of 10 thousand dinars, directed to citizens whose salaries range from 900 to 1,500 dinars.
