“Al-Wadi” Housing Units in Al Buhair Fully Reserved Within Minutes of Launch on “Baity”, Announces Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and Eskan Bank

The Ministry of Housingand Urban Planning, in collaboration with Eskan Bank, announced the immediatereservation of all available units in “Al-Wadi” residential project, located inthe Al-Buhair area.

 

The announcement camewithin minutes of the launch of the reservation process via “Baity” real estateplatform, unveiled at the joint Ministry and Bank pavilion during the“Innovation in Social Housing Sector” Summit and Conference.

 

 “Al-Wadi” housing development comprises 76residential units and is being implemented in partnership with Al Sarayacompany. It was unveiled on “Baity” real estate platform as the inauguralproject under the Ministry’s newly launched “Off-Plan Sale” programme, whichwas introduced during the opening session of the summit.

 

Her Excellency Mrs. Amnabint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning and Chairpersonof Eskan Bank Board, expressed satisfaction with the unprecedented demandobserved just moments after the platform went live. Her Excellency noted thatthe rapid uptake underscores the strong confidence of Bahraini citizens in theintegrated housing solutions introduced by the Ministry and Eskan Bank,particularly those made possible through strategic partnerships with theprivate sector. This development reflects growing public confidence inprogrammes that deliver accessible, high-quality housing without prolongedwaiting periods.

 

 

Minister Al-Rumaihiemphasised that this momentum will further drive the expansion of key nationalhousing programmes, including the Government Land Development Programme and therecently announced Private Land Development Programme. These initiatives aim tobroaden Bahrain’s residential offering by extending support to real estatedevelopment companies to implement social housing projects on privately ownedland, thereby making these units accessible to beneficiaries of the housingfinance programme. 

 

Commenting on theproject’s success, His Excellency Mr. Abdulla Taleb, General Manager of EskanBank, highlighted that demand for the “Al-Wadi” units was overwhelminglypositive, with prospective homeowners completing the entire reservation andpayment process online. Leveraging the capabilities of the “Baity” Real Estateplatform and digital payment partners BENEFIT and CrediMax, citizens were ableto finalise their transactions seamlessly without the need to visit bankbranches—an outcome that reflects the effectiveness of Eskan Bank’s digitaltransformation strategy and the strength of its public-private collaborationframework.
