Her Excellency Ms. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed that the Ministry is proceeding with implementing its housing projects according to clear plans in line with the objectives contained in the government's program (2023-2026), noting that the continuous support enjoyed by the social housing sector from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, The directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, constitute a basis for accelerating the pace of achievement and ensuring the diversification of housing options available to citizens.
Her happiness announced the start of implementation of the second phase of the developed generation project for residential buildings in Salman City, which includes the construction of 432 residential apartments, after the completion of the first phase, which provided 1,382 apartments.
The Minister explained that the construction work for the second phase has begun with pouring concrete foundations, with the foundation completion rate reaching 72%, using modern construction techniques. She pointed out that the new apartment designs are based on modern models that were widely accepted in the previous phase, as the complexes were developed to include commercial and service services and facilities, parking lots, and green spaces.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning added that the developed generation projects keep pace with sustainability concepts by adopting energy and water-saving systems, using environmentally friendly building materials, and designing urban facades that reflect contemporary Bahraini identity. She stressed the ministry's keenness to meet citizens' aspirations by developing apartment designs to suit the needs of Bahraini families, taking into account the beneficiaries' comments in previous stages, which embodies the ministry's commitment to the principle of community partnership.
She pointed out that the second phase of the project will apply advanced environmental standards, such as the use of green energy, and the allocation of open spaces and paths for outdoor activities, in a way that provides a safe environment and enhances the quality of life for beneficiaries, stressing that implementation is proceeding according to the approved timetable, ensuring that apartments are allocated to citizens on the specified dates.
