Project unit allocation procedures will begin during 2026. Minister of Housing and Urban Planning: 23% of the third phase of the Sitra Housing City project has been completed

Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed that the completion rate of construction work for the units of the third phase of the Sitra Housing City project is 23%, 29% in terms of providing infrastructure services, and 16% for construction work in the 1,269 residential units.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning indicated that these percentages reflect the progress of work on the project according to the specified timetable, in preparation for starting the procedures for allocating project units to beneficiaries with nomination certificates during the next year 2026.

Minister Al Rumaihi explained that the third phase of the Sitra Housing City project is being implemented by the ministry in cooperation with the Chinese company "CMEC". In addition to 1,269 housing units, it consists of implementing infrastructure services, which include main and secondary roads, sewage networks, rainwater drainage, and lighting. She noted that the third phase is the largest phase in the project, covering a total area of 670,000 square meters.

The third phase project also includes the construction of 51,300 square meters of green spaces, 1,780 drainage holes, 23.6 kilometers of roads, and 27,600 meters of rainwater lines, with the aim of providing an integrated urban environment. She pointed out that these components ensure that this phase in the city operates at full capacity immediately after the completion of construction work, which contributes to the rapid delivery of units to beneficiaries who have obtained nomination certificates.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning noted that the Ministry will continue to monitor the progress of work periodically, while ensuring that the pace of completion of the project is kept rapid to be completed on time according to the timetable.

It is worth noting that the service facilities that are scheduled to be included in the third phase in Sitra Housing City include, in addition to infrastructure services, the establishment of 3 schools that meet the educational needs of the city's residents, in addition to a police station, 6 communications towers, 7 parks and areas designated for children's games, and 3 social centers that contribute to enhancing community communication.
