The Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning held its first regular meeting for the year 2026, headed by Ms. Donia Faisal Sarhan, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information and Chair of the Committee at the Ministry.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information stressed the importance of continuing to consolidate the principles of equal opportunities and supporting the sustainability of institutional excellence in line with the Ministry's strategic objectives and enhancing the committee's outputs, through intensifying training and awareness programs that aim to raise the efficiency of performance and enhance the professional development paths of employees in accordance with the best administrative practices.
The committee reviewed the final report for the year 2025, in addition to discussing the most prominent axes of the committee's work plan during the current year, which is consistent with the priorities of the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women 2025–2026.
