The repair will include 30 housing units in Al-Hidd Housing City, 19 homes in Sitra areas, and 22 homes in various areas. The necessary technical and engineering treatment work has been completed.
This came when His Excellency Mr. Ibrahim bin Hassan Al-Hawaj, Minister of Works, and His Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, made a field visit today to the city of Sitra and the Hidd Housing City to review the progress of work to repair the damage to the first batch of homes damaged as a result of the sinful Iranian attacks.
In this context, His Excellency the Minister of Public Works confirmed that the Ministry, in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, has implemented remediation works for the damage to homes according to a phased sequence that takes into account the priority of the most affected cases in line with the nature of the recorded damage. He pointed out that the implementation of construction repairs and maintenance works related to the infrastructure and services was carried out in accordance with the approved technical requirements and standards, ensuring the readiness of residential units for housing after the completion of the works.
For her part, the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning explained that coordination between the concerned authorities is ongoing within a joint framework that aims to ensure the smooth flow of the various stages of the executive plan, starting from inventorying and evaluating the damage through specialized work teams, through repair work and implementing appropriate engineering solutions for each case, all the way to completing compensation procedures and delivering the units, in order to achieve the completion of the work within the time frame set for it Enabling citizens to return to their homes within the first batch according to the specified implementation path, pointing out that the plan will continue to be implemented with accelerated quality and pace to complete the repair of the remaining batches of homes damaged by the blatant Iranian aggression, ensuring the return of stability to the affected families as soon as possible.
In the same context, procedures for compensating for damage to homes have been completed, through an approved implementation mechanism that includes inventorying the damage related to the internal contents of residential units, evaluating them, and taking the necessary measures to compensate for them, in a way that achieves comprehensive treatment and is not limited to construction aspects only, and ensures the preparation of the residential environment in an integrated manner when delivering the units to citizens.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning had begun, immediately after the residential homes were damaged as a result of the heinous Iranian attacks, to transfer the families whose homes were severely damaged to temporary, equipped residential apartments in Salman City until the units are processed. During the next phase, the families will be handed over their residential units and homes as soon as they are ready.
