Ms. Fatima Al-Mannai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, stressed that the celebration of the silver jubilee of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women represents a prominent national milestone that embodies an integrated institutional process that contributed to consolidating the progress of Bahraini women and enhancing their contribution to various development paths, in a way that supports the stability of the family and society and the sustainability of national gains.
She said that the qualitative progress achieved for Bahraini women comes as a result of the visions and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and the national foundations that His Majesty has established based on equal opportunities and enhancing women's contribution to the development process, noting the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him Which contributed to expanding the horizons of women's participation and enhancing their presence in various fields of national work.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning appreciated the pioneering role played by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, stressing that Her Highness's presidency of the Council contributed to consolidating an integrated institutional approach that supports the progress of Bahraini women and the sustainability of their gains, and enhances the integration of their needs into National policies and plans.
She pointed out that the existing cooperation between the Supreme Council for Women and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning reflects the integration of national efforts in studying the needs of Bahraini women and developing relevant initiatives and services, which contributes to supporting their family stability and enhancing their benefit from housing services in accordance with the applicable frameworks and regulations.
Al-Mannai stressed that the twenty-fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women is an occasion to be proud of the qualitative gains achieved, and an incentive to continue building on them and strengthening national partnerships that support the advancement of women and the stability of the Bahraini family, in a way that enhances women's contribution as active partners in the process of construction, development and shaping the future of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
