The Ministry of Housing concludes a series of workshops for engineers

The Department of Construction and Maintenance of Projects at the Ministry of Housing concluded a series of workshops for engineers concerned with executive procedures, as part of the program to raise the capabilities and skills of engineers, in implementation of the directives of the plan of His Excellency the Minister of Housing, Eng. At the Ministry building on Thursday, March 3rd.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Eng. Mohammed Rashdan, Director of the Projects Construction and Maintenance Department at the Ministry of Housing, confirmed the establishment of more interactive workshops and courses via visual communication technology, in order to achieve more experiences and to provide engineers with advanced skills that are commensurate with the many challenges facing engineering and construction field work in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Eng. Rashdan encouraged the presentation of new ideas and the exchange of experiences among engineers through their participation in a series of successive workshops, which would achieve awareness and education in various engineering procedures.

During the workshop, Engineer Faraz Ahmed gave a practical explanation about the provisions and laws of issuing a certificate of completion of works and a certificate of freedom from defects as stipulated in the construction manual, in order to ensure that the specified time periods are not exceeded, thus avoiding the additional costs that may be caused by the delay in issuing these certificates. The engineer also presented Rawan Awad gave a detailed explanation about the approved and updated guide to the quality of materials for the Department of Material Quality and Standards.
