Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed that the Ministry’s winning of the e-Government Excellence Award for the year 2023 for the best website comes as a culmination of the efforts made by the Ministry recently to implement a comprehensive electronic transformation plan for all housing services, and to create and develop many interactive services that contribute In facilitating citizens’ procedures and reviews, in line with the axis of government performance and digital transformation contained in the government program 2023-2026.

The Minister said that this award motivates the Ministry’s work team to continue efforts to implement the digital transformation plan and develop housing services provided to citizens, in line with government efforts aimed at digitizing government services and transactions and gradually making them comprehensively electronic, which contributes to raising levels of efficiency and productivity in government work, stressing that The citizen is the basis of the process of developing government services.

The Minister stated that the development measures included in the website development plan included converting all housing services and transactions provided to citizens into electronic services, in addition to launching services to provide housing consultations remotely, noting that the Ministry took into account during the stages of developing the website the use of the latest technical and security standards. And work to improve the user experience and enrich the content by providing citizens with all information about the services available to them, and following the standards of the “Guide for Evaluating Customer Experience in Government Service Centers.”

The Minister stressed that the Ministry's efforts are continuing to modernize and develop all its services provided to citizens, whether through its digital platforms or the customer service center, out of its keenness to provide housing services to citizens with the best possible quality standards.
