This came when His Highness, may God protect him, today sponsored the opening ceremony of the East Sitra City Housing Project, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and a number of Their Excellencies and Excellencies senior officials, where His Highness said that it is fortunate that the opening of this housing project coincides. With the Kingdom of Bahrain celebrating its national holidays, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the reins of government, and the accompanying national occasions, His Highness praised the interest the Kingdom of Bahrain attaches to providing housing services to citizens according to the best standards through new cities and projects, which come as a city. East Sitra is one of these pioneering projects that was established in partnership with the private sector.
His Highness praised the efforts of the employees of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and other supporting ministries that contributed to the completion of the project and the achievement of the desired goals. His Highness pointed out that achieving the goals and ambitions is linked to the concerted efforts of the members of the Bahrain team and their joining together to work in the spirit of one team, stressing that if the efforts come together to achieve any goal, it will contribute to achieving the goal. For her part, Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed that the opening of the East Sitra City housing project comes within the implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al. Khalifa the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, distributed 6,800 housing services to citizens.

Al-Rumaihi pointed to the support and follow-up that His Highness, may God protect him, gives to the housing sector and the implementation of housing cities, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the people of the country, which contributes to providing adequate housing for citizens in parallel with new housing programs in partnership with the private sector.
It is worth noting that the city of East Sitra provides more than 3,000 housing services, and is located on an area of 243 hectares, and includes integrated infrastructure, services and advanced community facilities.
