Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed that the satellite launch As Bahrain's first fully fledged satellite marks a new achievement in Bahrain's endeavours to harness the space sector and its technologies and represents a historic moment for all to be proud and cherished in the National March. Noting that this pioneering project comes in pursuit of the visions and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the country's great Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Pursuant to the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister.
The Minister commended the efforts of His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Commander of the Royal Guard, Secretary General of the Supreme Defense Council, and his ongoing supervision of this distinctive national project, which places the Kingdom of Bahrain at the level of space science and scientific research.
Minister Al-Rumaihi stated that the launch of the satellite "Al-Manzour" will contribute to the promotion of scientific research in urban and urban development and the establishment of smart and sustainable cities by benefiting from various fields of space science and artificial intelligence as well as more efficient and accurate data and information that will help in the implementation of studies and research that serve different sectors and benefit everyone.
The Minister of Al-Rumaihi acknowledged the efforts of national cadres and members of Bahrain's team in the field of space, which contributed to the design and construction of the satellite "Al-Manzour", stressing that this major achievement reflects the competence and excellence of Bahraini youth.
