Pursuant to the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister With the expansion of the Government Land Development Rights Programme, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning announced a new bid for the implementation of 128 apartments in the 333 complex in Umm al-Husm, Capital Governorate s land development rights programme in partnership with the private sector.

The Ministry said that the new project in Umm al-Hussam area includes the construction of 128 residential apartments on a total area of more than 8 thousand square meters stating that the project will be implemented in accordance with the specifications of the developer generation of residential architecture approved by the Ministry in the implementation of vertical housing projects; Which provide sophisticated designs for residential apartments up to 200 square meters in addition to providing all the sophisticated facilities that serve the residents of the residential building.

The Ministry also reported that the duration of implementation of the new project is scheduled to take 20 months from the date of commencement of construction work by the commissioning company after the completion of the bidding procedures apartments must be sold exclusively to beneficiaries of the Housing Finance Programme's options, At prices commensurate with the value of the funds, this project will contribute to meeting a large number of housing demands for those wishing to benefit from the financing options.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning confirmed that the course of the Government Land Development Rights Programme is witnessing an acceleration in the implementation of projects to be implemented through it. The Umm Al-Husm Housing Project is the first of the projects implemented in the Capital Governorate, and the eighth of the projects put forward for implementation through the programme, after the project "Suhail Al-Haqani" in the suburb of Luzi, which was opened and sold all its units to the beneficiaries of the housing finance programme, in addition to the introduction of 4 packages of projects for implementation in Salman city, bringing the total of projects implemented in the northern governorate to 5 housing projects, as well as construction work currently under way to implement the projects of Al-Bahir and Hura Sanad in the southern governorate.

The Ministry drew attention to the growing demand by real estate development companies to participate in the bidding for the implementation of projects of the Government Land Development Rights Program as well as citizens' appetite to benefit from financing options for these projects, This was monitored during the sale phase of Suhail Project units as well as the wishes of the Ministry to benefit from the projects currently under implementation, This programme's outputs, together with the Housing Finance Programme, reinforce the pillars of action to sustain the long-term provision of housing services to citizens.
