In implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, to accelerate the pace of housing projects to provide 50,000 new housing units, and the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to begin providing 7,000 housing services, coinciding with the Kingdom of Bahrain's celebration of its national holidays and the twenty-sixth Sitting Day of His Majesty the King of the country, may God protect and preserve him With the accompanying national events, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning continues the procedures for withdrawing housing units for the second phase of the Sitra City Housing Project, which includes 531 housing units.
The Ministry explained that the procedures for electronic withdrawal of units of the second phase of the Sitra City Housing Project are carried out in a smooth and easy manner, as the Ministry's work team clarifies and explains the procedures to the beneficiary citizens, and presents the options available for the withdrawal process.
The Ministry confirmed the continuation of communication with citizens during the coming period to complete the procedures for withdrawing units, renewing its congratulations to citizens benefiting from housing services.
For their part, citizens expressed their joy at the completion of the withdrawal procedures, praising the smooth organization and easy procedures, through which a detailed explanation was provided by specialists about the housing units and the requirements and guarantees provided by the Ministry, and they were informed of the electronic withdrawal mechanism and contract details.
It is worth noting that the Sitra City housing project provides more than 3,000 housing services, is located on an area of 243 hectares, and includes integrated infrastructure and advanced community services and facilities. The city has been provided with secondary infrastructure networks, with 19 kilometers of sewage networks completed, 14 kilometers of rainwater lines laid, 18 kilometers of water lines laid, 51 kilometers of electricity cables and lighting poles completed, and all work related to the city's communications network.
The city is also distinguished by its strategic location and seafronts extending over a length of more than 6 kilometers, incorporating the best urban specifications. These networks include advanced transportation networks, main and secondary roads for vehicles, in addition to special paths for bicycles and pedestrians totaling 13 kilometers, and areas designated to provide 24 parks and open areas with a total area of 18 square kilometers. The city also provides models of residential units with an improved design to meet the aspirations of Bahraini families.
