As part of government efforts to improve and re-engineer the quality of services, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has developed the Tasheel financing service, offering 100% comprehensive automation and electronic connectivity with financing banks.

Under this improved service, the service completion period was reduced from 10 days to 5 days, in addition to canceling a number of required documents, including a copy of the applicant's passport and valid family passports, copies of the smart card statement for family members, a copy of the marriage contract, a copy of the divorce document for the second, third and fifth categories, and a copy of the death certificate with the legal obligation in the event of the applicant's death An original account statement stamped by the bank includes the international number IBAN, a copy of the wife or husband's valid residence permit for non-Bahrainis, and a statement that he or she will not be subject to insurance from the General Authority for Social Insurance in the event of a breakdown, which contributes to simplifying procedures and improving the customer experience.

In this context, Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, confirmed that the developed version of the electronic service for financing options "Tasheel" is based on 100% comprehensive automation of the procedural process from submitting the application until its completion without the need for any printed paper transactions, which contributes to improving the government work system and raising the efficiency of completion, ensuring that support reaches those who deserve it in the easiest ways.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning concluded her statement by stressing that updating the "Tasheel" service is part of a more comprehensive plan to develop electronic services, as the coming period will witness the launch of similar developments for a number of other housing services, which will enhance the effectiveness of the government system, contribute to achieving the goals of digital transformation, and achieve the tangible positive impact that citizens aspire to.
It is worth noting that, as part of the government's ongoing efforts to develop and re-engineer government services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, 800 of which have undergone development and re-engineering across various government sectors. This is based on proposals and comments received regarding government services through the National Suggestions and Complaints System "Tawasul," investor comments, and confidential shopper reports for evaluating government services, in addition to the launch of guidelines and service level agreements This contributes to raising the efficiency of procedures, improving the quality of services provided, enhancing the beneficiary experience, and supporting the government's digital transformation process.
