The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Housing Bank conclude platinum sponsorship agreements with 7 banking and real estate institutions for the Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition 2026

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Housing Bank continue their preparations to organize the second edition of the Social Housing Sector Innovation Conference and Exhibition 2026, amidst wide participation from banking and real estate institutions, reflecting the growing partnership between the public and private sectors in supporting the social housing system and contributing to the development of innovative financing and real estate solutions directed at citizens.

In this context, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Housing Bank concluded platinum sponsorship agreements for the conference and exhibition with the Islamic Bank of Bahrain, the National Bank of Bahrain, the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain, Gulf Bank, Diyar Al Muharraq Company, and Al Salam Bank, which contributes to enriching the activities of the second edition of the conference and exhibition, and enhancing the opportunities it provides to exchange experiences, build partnerships, and review the latest solutions and services in the social housing sector.

Her Excellency Ms. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Housing Bank, stressed the importance of effective partnership with the private sector in developing the social housing system, noting that the integration of the roles of banking institutions and real estate developers constitutes an essential factor in diversifying the financing and real estate options available to citizens, and developing more flexible, efficient and sustainable solutions.

She explained that partnerships with financial and real estate institutions come as an extension of the government's approach to enhancing private sector participation in providing housing services, and benefiting from its expertise and potential in developing innovative models and solutions that contribute to accelerating citizens' access to housing.
She added that the conference constitutes a platform that brings together government agencies, financial institutions, real estate developers, experts and specialists locally, regionally and internationally, to exchange experiences and expertise and discuss new opportunities for cooperation, in a way that supports the development of housing policies and initiatives and keeps pace with the latest trends in the sector.

For his part, Mr. Abdullah Taleb, General Manager of the Housing Bank, stressed that the participation of this number of banking and real estate institutions as platinum sponsors of the conference reflects the growing level of partnership between the various parties of the housing system, noting that the bank continues to work on developing more diverse and flexible financing and real estate solutions, which expands the options available to citizens and contributes to accelerating their benefit from housing services.

He added that the importance of the conference extends to providing space for building implementable partnerships and initiatives between government agencies, financial institutions and real estate developers, in a way that supports the development of the social housing sector and keeps pace with the needs of beneficiaries.

For their part, representatives of the supporting entities confirmed that their contribution to the conference comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation between the public and private sectors and developing innovative financing and real estate solutions, in a way that supports national initiatives aimed at providing broader options for citizens and enhancing the sustainability of the social housing sector.

The conference will address a number of topics related to the future of social housing, development partnerships, financing solutions, sustainable social and economic investment, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, and modern construction and urban development technologies.
