Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, participated in the fifth edition of the Real Estate Future Forum 2026, which was held in Riyadh from January 26 to 28, 2026, at the invitation of His Excellency Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and a number of Their Excellencies, officials, experts and decision-makers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the countries of the region, to discuss the future of the real estate sector and its investment and development trends.

Her Excellency the Minister's participation came within a high-level dialogue session entitled "Market Trends and Real Estate Investment Opportunities", with the participation of His Excellency Engineer Sherif Magdy El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and His Excellency Engineer Dhafer El-Omar, Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Environment of the Syrian Arab Republic.

During her speech, the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning reviewed the role of the housing and real estate sectors in supporting economic diversification and achieving a balance between economic growth and social stability, within the framework of the principles and objectives of the Kingdom of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and the government's program 2023-2026, stressing that social housing constitutes one of the basic pillars of the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom, in light of the gains achieved by this sector during the past years, as a result of the involvement of the private sector And the positive impact achieved in other related sectors, such as the contracting and retail sectors, for example.

Her happiness pointed out that the royal directive to provide 50,000 housing units represents a fundamental turning point in the path of housing work, as the Ministry is working to accelerate the pace of implementation, by strengthening the partnership with the private sector, to expand the provision of housing financing services in cooperation with participating banks, in addition to cooperation with real estate companies to implement the axis of increasing and diversifying the real estate stock in various governorates of the Kingdom, through the "Government Land Development Rights" programs, and "Private land development rights, which translates government commitment into tangible results on the ground.
The Minister pointed out that the housing and real estate sector, as a result of government development policies, has contributed over the past years to pumping more than 1.9 billion Bahraini dinars into the national economy, supported by the momentum of projects, initiatives and partnerships since 2022.

In a related context, the Minister highlighted the government's efforts to stimulate the real estate market and attract foreign investment, through a package of stimulating legislation and policies, in addition to regulatory directives supporting ownership and partnerships, stressing the Kingdom's keenness to move clearly towards developing major strategic cities within the structural plan of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which would increase the Kingdom's construction areas by more than 60%, and open broad horizons for private sector investments.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning concluded her participation by emphasizing that the Kingdom of Bahrain keeps pace with global trends in the housing and real estate sector, especially in the areas of sustainability, digital transformation and smart cities, through developing flexible financing programs, digital tools such as the "Betty" platform, and incentive programs such as the "Off-Map Sales Program" for government land development rights program projects, as well as creating a stable and clear legislative and regulatory environment that makes Bahrain an attractive destination for housing and real estate investments A balanced market that links economic return with the social dimension.
